Philosophy

As a music educator, it is my mission to assist students so that they can attain the highest level of understanding, appreciation, and musicianship through music listening, instrumental performance, and self-expression. It is also my task to help the growing young minds acquire and establish a good sense of musical taste.

Since music is an integral part of every culture in the world, students should and will gain a better understanding by learning its theoretical functionality and its historical developments. Through music’s unique contributions and by establishing a sense of community, music can help students develop essential humanistic traits such as short and long-term goals, good work ethic, better perception skills, imagination,  leadership qualities, problem solving, patience, and team work skills that we as humans need to progress.

My goal is to make music an enjoyable experience by providing students with the proper tools to help them acquire the necessary skills to perform on their instrument. It is up to me to nurture their talents and offer positive reinforcement for them to continue to succeed throughout their musical journey. Through the students’ musical explorations, they will grow to become well-rounded human beings
