Monthly tuition: is due the first week of the month for the upcoming month. This will be dependent on the number of weeks in a month. Hourly rate for monthly payments will be $90.00. This will also secure your lesson for the entire month and you can pick your lesson based on the remaining available spots during the week and/or on the weekend. This payment option will save you 10%, compared to paying per lesson. (If paying with CASH you get an extra 5% off, hourly rate is $85 per lesson)

Payment Per Lesson: If you are paying for lessons per session, the rate is $100.00 per hour. Sign-up for lessons are only available on the weekend. Schedule might fluctuate depending on our week to week school schedules.  (If paying with CASH, the hourly rate is $95 per lesson)

Studio Class. We generally hold monthly studio classes on the 3rd Monday of every month. This concept is one that all college musicians are familiar with. These are opportunities for students to perform with an audience of peers, parents, and teachers to help build up their nerves and performance experience. (We did this back when we were all completely on ZOOM and it was very successful). Studio class is included in all tuition fees. All students are expected to participate. My goal is to use these times to bring other private lesson teachers and university professor to give a Master Class.

Additional Discounts/Bonus:
*If you pay lessons with CASH you can get a 5% discount for all payment options.
*Sibling discount of 5%-10% depending on package option.
*Beginner 5% discount (10 month or less of cello experience)
*If you provide a referral for lesson, you will get a free extra lesson based on student and instructor's schedule.

cello or music career

For all of these levels, the Lesson day does not count as one of their 5 practice days Lessons. Lessons are generally given on a weekly basis. Typically, the lesson length matches the daily practice expectation. More advanced students’ lessons may vary depending on preparations for auditions or competitions. During the summer, intensive lessons of twice per week or 1.5-2 hour lessons will be available as well.

ATTENDANCE
Consistency is a key element of any successful learning experience. Consistent lessons and practice are vital to progress which leads to much greater enjoyment of the instrument as well. While many parents imagine that young musicians should be excited to practice each day, the reality is that students need parental help in consistent practice until the student starts to achieve success on the cello. Being good at something is really fun! And because of this, our students are some of the happiest practicers around, but they all had help at first. We ask all our parents to make sure the students practice 5 days a week on average, not including lesson day.

CANCELATION PROCESS
24-hours’ notice: is the minimum requirement for lesson cancelation. If less than 24-hours’ notice is provided, students will forfeit the missed lesson.  Since you are required a 24-notice, then I in return will notify you in a timely manner. I will reschedule a make-up lesson as soon as possible.

Illness: In consideration for the instructor and others, students should not attend lessons when ill. Please notify me as early as possible if you must miss a lesson due to illness. 24-hours’ notice is preferable, but when this is not possible due to sudden onset of illness, please call/text first thing in the morning on the day of your lesson if you must cancel. If the student is feeling a bit under the weather but would like to take a zoom lesson that is an alternate option

DISCONTINUING LESSONS
A minimum of 1 month notice is required to discontinue lessons. If less than one month notice is given, the student will be charged the tuition fee for the additional month.

Due to my Orchestra Director duties and Professional Orchestral Performing schedule, students that pay yearly or monthly tuition will get first priority for make up lessons during the week/weekend.  Lesson might be in-person or via zoom depending on our schedule and availability.
